4. Onward and Upward

After recovering from the trademark debacle, I dove back into the project. As the layout progressed, I allowed myself to diverge from John Allen's version in several aspects. Since he never really "finished" the original—he began expanding it long before it was even close to being done—and he made many changes along the way, so there's no knowing what it might have looked like had he stuck to the straight and narrow. In addition, I didn't care for the barren scenery he chose to depict. So, I substituted a number of structures with different ones, made some substantial changes to Daphetid, and modeled more verdant scenery. Despite all of this, I believe the spirit of John Allen's original was still firmly intact.
