4.19. Roads

Roads began as thin Masonite cut to follow the route.

Next, I smeared on a layer of tinted Sculptamold with a small spatula, then smoothed it out with a wet finger.

When this was dry, I brushed on thinned white glue, and sprinkled on powdered stone. After vacuuming away the excess, the road was finished.

Grade crossings were simply chunks of laser-etched siding from the scrap box.
