4.7. Daphetid Water Tower
The Daphetid water tower really only made a brief appearance early in construction; later, it moved to Gorre for a while along with the station.
There was enough room on my version of the layout to put it back, along with the freight station and other town buildings. I started with a Micron Art brass kit, #1005 "19th Century Water Station," and bashed it heavily since much of its design was pure fantasy.
I concentrated on the support structure, fabricating a new tank platform, adding more believable-looking legs and bracing, and replacing the outrageous finial.
Although it still had its flaws, I believe the finished water tower was much better than the original kit version, and it had a flavor in keeping with John Allen's modeling.
