SYNOPSIS
The lowered speed limit has caused injuries and fatalities in every ship and, without gravity, many more will die from injuries that cannot heal. It also means the Ring gate is now months away, instead of days. Returning to the Rocinante, Naomi tends to wounded Alex and Amos.
On the Behemoth, Ashford and Drummer are both pinned by a large piece of equipment. Drummer forces the machine harder against herself to free Ashford, who then orders the ship to rotate, thus creating gravity. Ashford then broadcasts a message to all of the ships in the Ring Space to bring their wounded to the Rocinante for treatment.
Melba leaves Tilly for dead as she plans to board the Roci. Anna finds Tilly, who survives just long enough to reveal Melba's plan to kill Holden. Anna follows Melba to the Roci and saves Naomi from Melba's attack.
On the Martian drop ship, Holden regains consciousness and tells Bobbie he saw visions of "the end of everything."
ANALYSIS
"You're really good at this."
Things are turning around just a bit with this episode. Although slightly over-long and a teeny bit predictable with respect to their adversarial relationship doing a 180, the sequence with Ashford and Drummer trapped by the farming machine is actually quite engaging, if for no other reason than it's human drama, as opposed to technobabble silliness. Oh, and turning Anna into something of an action hero at the end—chasing Melba through space and tasering her in the Roci—is a cool twist, as is Ashford's invitation to his adversaries to utilize the Behemoth's gravirty to help the wounded.
Best Scene: Tilly's touching death scene is different from most, considering she's suspended on the ceiling, and her tears just pool around her eyes (which is apparently what would happen in zero-G).
Best Line: Drummer gets tired of listening to Ashford ramble on. "If this is another of your teaching moment, I prefer for bleed out in silence."
