SYNOPSIS
Although the missile has been stopped, the Rocinante's crew finds the ship crippled, with no way to send or receive radio communication or fire weapons. A Martian ship enters the Ring after them. Monica's cameraman confesses to sabotage, thinking he would be able to access the ship's nav logs, but that he was unaware of the true consequences. Amos sends Monica and Cohen out of the Roci's airlock toward the Martians so they can explain what really happened.
Aboard the Behemoth, Ashford tells Naomi he believes the Roci crew survived. Drummer orders the ship to enter the Ring. Realizing her heart is still with Holden and crew, Naomi departs in a shuttle and heads for the Roci.
Through a series of flashbacks, we learn that Melba is actually Clarissa, Jules-Pierre Mao's elder daughter. Melba vows to avenge her father's imprisonment by killing Holden. On the Thomas Prince, all civilians are evacuated, although Anna, with the help of Tilly, gets to stay.
On the Roci, Miller convinces Holden to follow him to the center of the Ring Space, where a spherical structure sits. Wearing a propulsion pack, Holden launches himself off of the ship's hull.
ANALYSIS
"This moment belong to us!"
Although the episode does have its moments, it starts to drag, especially during the soap-opera-ish flashbacks of Mao's dinner party. And speaking of, I simply keeant steeand Florence Faivre's voice—it's worse than nails on a chalkboard, if that can be believed. Anyway, as the ships enter the Ring Space one by one, they discover it's flypaper, and I began feeling just a bit like a fly myself. The best scenes tend to be those between Naomi and Drummer.
Best Scene: Drummer getting her Belters all psyched up to enter the Ring is mesmerizing; Cara Gee is extraordinary.
Best Line: Naomi angrily confronts Drummer about firing the missile, and Drummer deflects. "Hate me later. Work now." (Drummer follows this with a heartfelt apology. "I'm sorry. If I killed them, I'm... I'm sorry.")
