Legends of Tomorrow
Owing to my unanticipated enjoyment of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Flash, I took a chance on Legends, expecting a similar response. Oops. This textbook example of pure excess seems to survive solely by virtue of its special effects; it otherwise has few if any redeeming qualities. In short, it suffers from the same problems that plague the Avengers and Justice League film franchises: more is not necessarily better. With an enormous cast and no standout performers, it often implodes with nonsense, leaving the viewer feeling exhausted and unsatisfied. I stopped watching it after the second season; it's now entering its seventh season... so they must be doing something right. DKS 12/20/17
