Bee Movie

Following what would seem to be a mini-craze of insect-related animation (Antz, A Bug's Life), Bee Movie taps the comic talent of Jerry Seinfeld—and I use the term "talent" loosely; I imagine the film was well-liked by Seinfeld fans, but not being one, for me it falls flat. Worse, the humor, such as it is, attempts to sweeten an otherwise dire ecological message—not that I object to such messages, but this one is so awkward and in-your-face that it detracts from any other enjoyment the animation might have offered.
