Ed Wood

1994, Touchstone Pictures

From the mind of Tim Burton comes a comedy biopic, as contradictory as it sounds, and while it was well-received by critics, it was a box office bomb. No matter; it's a must-see if only for one thing: Martin Landau's Academy Award winning turn as Bela Lugosi. In fact, Landau does Bela Lugosi better than Bela Lugosi! Although Johnny Depp is not especially memorable as the title character, the supporting cast is delightfully strange. Notable for faithfully recreating some of Wood's best (worst) cinematic moments, including scenes from his biggest "hit," Plan 9 from Outer Space.

The commentary track includes several people involved with the film, so Tim's contributions were limited, although he still managed a Y'Know? score of 146.
