Kiha 40 Train Sets

The Kiha 40 Series (21m class) train is a single powered car. It is sold as a single unit, with no functional couplers. The real Kiha is a self-powered diesel, thus it has no pantographs. Between 1977 and 1982 a total of 888 units were built for the non-electrified lines of Japan, and many of them are still in use.
