29 January 2009

Yes, I know, it's been quite a long time since my last update. To be honest, I've been in a modeling funk, and it wasn't getting much better during the holidays. This was ironic, considering that December was one of my busiest modeling months in quite a while. But not to worry; I'm hardly ready to throw in the towel. Just today I received a drop-dead-gorgeous beercan tankcar done up for Emery from the shops of 3RWorks in Germany, and right away I had to photograph it—you'll find the new image in the Gallery.

Meanwhile, AZL has released their new Bettendorf trucks with couplers (right), which has caused a bit of friction (get it? friction trucks? oh, nevermind, bad joke). As a consequence of a lot of the same questions being raised subsequent to the product release, I've started drafting an in-depth Trucks and Coupler Guide, which will get down to the nitty-gritty on specifications, performance, compatibility and fidelity of the various products floating around out there now. It'll probably take a few weeks to complete, so stop back again once in a while to check on the progress.
