4.12. My Cabin
The original White River & Northern had a tiny, primitive farm, consisting of a farmhouse and barn, where I pretended to live.
The Greystone & Rock Bottom had ramshackle backwoods houses; I didn't get far enough with them to pick one for myself.
For the Mountain Vista Railroad, I modified a log cabin kit to become my "forever" cabin, and gave it a flickering fireplace effect. Work began in May 2020. I scratchbuilt an outhouse and, as an homage of sorts to a porta-potty that sat on my property for several years, painted it green.
Installed in May 2021, the cabin serves as my home on the new layout as well.
