6.6. Photographer with Camera

The photographer's SLR was likely one of the tiniest details I'd ever made.

I started with the lens, which was a bit of super-thin shrink wrap tubing stuck on the end of a piece of brass wire.

After trimming down the brass wire, I inserted it into a hole drilled in a length of strip styrene.

Next, I trimmed down the camera body, and bonded a piece of fine copper wire to the end.

After trimming the camera body to size, I wrapped the wire camera strap around and bonded it to the other side.

Finally, I cut off the excess camera strap, and painted the camera black. The last step was to hang it around the neck of a Preiser figure.
