Yesterday was fine up until around four-thirty, when it quickly became one of the worst days since I can remember. Turns out the property situation is far, far worse than I'd been led to believe for, unbeknownst to me, foreclosure was already in the works. I must now hire a criminal lawyer. And, yet again, bad news arrives on a Friday afternoon so that I have the weekend to stew. A good ten years have just been shaved off my life. I am sick to death of this.

Yesterday was remarkably spring-like, so I did a little work on the house. After about an hour, I was completely spent. Really depressing to think I could go from dawn to dusk just a couple of years ago.

So I spent a fair bit of the day yesterday exercising my repaired car by running errands. I needed to go to the bank, as well as shop for cat, bird and human food. So far so good.

Guess what I did yesterday? I spent the whole day waiting for my car to get out of the shop. Surprised? Didn't think so. I'm running out of stuff to replace on it. One may wonder why I don't just buy a "new" car instead. Well, for one thing, I'd have to muster up a hefty sum all at once to do that, whereas repairs on this one have been spread out over time; for another, chances are I'd be stuck doing the very same thing all over again with a different used car.

Amazingly, the week ahead looks a bit more spring-like, so I may have something to look forward to after all. Assuming, that is, my lawyer prevails in the latest mess with the property buyers...

Recharged my batteries at the Conrail Historical Society annual Rail-B-Q near Harrisburg, PA, yesterday. It was great seeing friends I haven't seen for three years. Good times!
