It looks like April and feels like August. Meanwhile, I'm owed money and paperwork, and my lawyer has been dutifully rattling cages to no avail. Some things never change.

Figures, doesn't it, that spring—my favorite season—was entirely preempted this year, at a time in my life when I could use some nice things the most. Yesterday it peaked in the mid-90s. I think I went maybe two whole days without needing either heat or A/C.

Hopes for taking advantage of the first stretch of decent weather were blown away when the temperature shot past the predicted 70s and crept into the 80s; just cutting a couple of boards exhausted me. And the predicted highs for the rest of the week are in the 90s. So much for enjoying any semblance of spring.

My car is finally out of the shop, so I'm mobile again, but also poorer again.

Last night bottomed out at 42, and the highs for the week ahead are supposed to be in the 80s. Just as I predicted: we're skipping spring and heading straight into summer. I'm sad, because spring is my favorite season.

As if I don't have enough going on right now, my car has suffered a major breakdown and is back in the shop today. I just can't catch a break. Oh, by the way, the low tonight is supposed to be in the 30s, and the high on Wednesday in the 80s. More bipolar weather...
