SYNOPSIS

Earth destroys Deimos, one of Mars' two moons, in response to the MCRN nuking Phoebe.

Fred Johnson and Holden are furious with Miller over killing Dresden; Johnson insists Miller leave Tycho station, and Amos delivers Miller's belongings to him at a bar. Later, Diogo Harari, a member of the assault team, invites Miller to stay with him.

Lieutenant Sutton and Bobby Draper again argue about going to war with the Earth. Sutton then informs Bobby that they've been assigned to Ganymede to guard the agriculture domes.

Avasarala succeeds in contacting Fred Johnson, and asks him for help in preventing war. Johnson replies with the location of the stealth ship that the Rocinante had disabled.

Amos figures out how to get Cortázar to talk about the Protomolecule, and Johnson agrees to give Cortázar access to the data stream emanating from Eros.

Miller concludes Eros must be destroyed, and after visiting the Mormon temple, figures out how to do it. He approaches Johnson with a proposal: use the Mormon's ship, the Nauvoo, to knock Eros into the sun.

ANALYSIS

"I've seen inhuman, and that ain't it."

What leaps out at me immediately is Carlos Gonzalez-Vio's eerily disturbing performance as Cortázar, a character that was surgically altered to remove his empathy, freeing him to work on the Protomolecule project with no emotional interference due to the human cost of their research.

Best Scene: For some reason, the dance scene with Naomi and Drummer sticks out in my mind. Not sure why; it's just a joyous, liberating break—however brief—from heavy drama, for both the characters and for us.

Best Line: With respect to shooting Dresden, Miller explains, "I didn't kill him because he was crazy; I killed him because he was making sense."
