Number Twelve

Some people refer to having "roots" in some location, usually where they grew up. I never spent the bulk of my life in one place, so I don't have that sense of "belonging" somewhere (although I will confess that I wouldn't be entirely comfortable living anywhere other than the Northeast). Being no stranger to moving, what's one more? Born in Glassboro, New Jersey, I spent the first year or so of my life somewhere in Pitman. We then moved to Barnsboro for a few years:

After staying in an apartment for several months (no idea where), we lived in Pennington for around a year:

From there we settled in Hopewell for 18 years (during this time, my folks had a summer home in New Hampshire):

After finally moving away from my parents, I got an apartment in Plainsboro with my future wife:

While searching for a house to buy, we rented a townhouse in Lawrenceville for a year, until we found our future home in Ewing, where we wed:

Five years later, divorce forced me to sell the house and move into a condo in West Trenton, where I spent eleven long years (my unit was on the ground floor, the one with the enclosed patio):

After I finally got out from under that rock, I stayed in an apartment in Trenton for a year:

I was then stuck in another condo in [shudder] Toms River, a.k.a. the taint of New Jersey, for around five years:

Then at long last I relocated to North Hanover, where I built my dream home:

And now I've survived move number twelve, back to [shudder] Toms River, albeit the northwesternmost point in the township, which is physically closer to Jackson than Toms River itself:

Follow the bouncing ball:
