The idea of bringing Conan Doyle's renowned sleuth into the present is nothing short of genius, and perfectly-cast top-drawer talent, superb scripts, and stunning cinematography combine to make the finest television series to grace the small screen in perhaps decades. Sherlock well deserves the accolades it's received, winning more than half of the 42 awards for which it's been nominated so far. My only gripe? Not enough of it! Each episode is really more like a feature film, with only three of them per season. Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat have created a drug: each fix leaves you craving more.
