Being an Anglophile, as well as a sci-fi junkie, I really wanted to like this series. But every time I tuned in, I got turned off. It just wasn't clicking. It's not like I don't get British humor—indeed, I prefer it. But every "joke" fell flat. It wasn't just unfunny to me; it was tedious (I didn't just watch one or two episodes; I struggled through the better part of a season). Granted, given its 12-year run (not to mention a feature film), it couldn't have been bad. It had to be me. So, take my score with a very large grain of salt, along with the disclaimer, Your Mileage May Vary.
