Lorenzo

Lorenzo is an extremely stylized tale of cat tails (yes) set to an elaborate tango soundtrack. If it seems like Fantasia material, it was in fact intended for Disney's scrapped 2008 sequel in their Fantasia franchise. The black velvet painting look almost works, but writer/director Joe Grant goes just a wee bit over the top with it, and his 2D characters inhabit a minimalist environment that alternates awkwardly between 2D and 3D.
