Its remarkable painterly style places this Academy Award winner among Disney's most creative efforts. The tale of a very hungry puppy's adoption and subsequent family life, seen from a dog's visual perspective, is effective and touching. Incidentally, the animators employed the same software that was used for the stunning Paperman, except in this case the images are in color with no lines.
