Reese Witherspoon tackles the autobiography of a woman who hit rock bottom and hiked up the west coast, from southern California to Oregon, to get her head back on straight. Shot on location at key points along the full route, Wild is worth it for the scenic splendor alone. Once the structure of the film is established, it can get just a wee bit predictable at times, despite its stream-of-consciousness narrative style. While not earthshaking, it is nevertheless moving and well worth your time.
