Tom Holland stars as a twelve-year-old Indiana Jones wannabe, along with Antonio Banderas as Antonio Banderas, in this lightweight imitation of a grownup action blockbuster. Clearly the target demographic is young, less-discriminating videogame players who I'm sure would be thrilled to go Easter egg hunting in this videogame adaptation. While it won't win any awards, it does have its moments: I can't think of any other film that features swashbuckling between to ancient sailing ships—while soaring through the air. If you bypass your common sense filter, it's not an awful way to spend two hours. (As an aside, while reviewing the bonus docs, I can't escape the feeling that Tom Holland is a new Tom Cruise in the making: he tends to insert himself into a film's development process quite aggressively. Just saying.)
