Raya and the Last Dragon2021, Disney Here's classic Disney through and through: from the stereotypical characters, complete with cute sidekick, to a moral-laden, predictable story, updated with contemporary dialog for "humor." Also clearly a product of Disney's "inclusion" initiative—not that this bad in any way. Although geared more for the younger crowd, the jaw-dropping animation makes it worthwhile for adults, particularly CGI junkies; when the main menu came up, I simply stared at the screen for a few minutes. I confess, however, that I did have a bit of trouble dealing with smiling, happy, androgynous pink and blue soft furry dragons (unfortunately conjuring memories of The NeverEnding Story), although Sisu as a human was quite endearing.
