Mr. Peabody & Sherman

2014, DreamWorks

The style and tone of this film suggests it's targeting an audience younger than that of typical CGI animation, which is ironic since it resurrects characters from a very dated television cartoon series (Rocky and Bullwinkle) known for its slyly sophisticated, irreverent humor. The end result seems to be at odds with itself, and the occasional amusing bits won't be enough to sustain the interest of most parents. It's a shame, since the premise offered considerable potential.
