Here's a box office bomb ($100 million loss) that had the critics falling all over themselves to praise it. A genuinely good story is carried by some A-list voice talent (Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana) and propelled by startlingly creative animation. The messages are a bit in-your-face at times, but then younger audiences usually need a little extra nudge to get them.
