Here it is, the film Jim Carrey waited his whole life for, one where he could be as wildly absurd as he wished—which also made him a household name. For those who can tolerate Carrey, it's probably hysterical; for others, it's grating. That said, there are some clever special effects employed to bring his alter ego to life. It's all just so loud and broad.
