True Lies

1994, Lightstorm Entertainment

As an example of a relatively short (141 minutes) James Cameron film, True Lies "only" had a budget of $100 million, which was the biggest of any film to that date. Also, one must not take True Lies seriously, else one invariably gets caught up in its distinctly non-PC elements, such as its stereotypical portrayal of Arabs, and sexist treatment of women. Therefore, it's strongly advised to check one's brain at the door, because it's arguably Arnie's best role ever, delivering Bondian witticisms better than any Bond. Jamie Lee Curtis is also a force to be reckoned with.
