Iron Sky

2012, Blind Spot Pictures et al

You'll either like this film or you won't—which is to say it's a bit polarizing. But you probably won't love it or hate it; Iron Sky is too benign to inspire much passion. I fall on the like side, mostly because I appreciate what Timo Vuorensola and friends were attempting to do. However, most of its humor failed to hit its target, creating the distinct impression that something was lost in the translation—literally, given that it's a Finnish-German-Australian production. But it makes up for its failings—at least to some degree—with enthusiasm and creative effects.
