The Good Dinosaur

Were it not for some stunning visual effects—mostly involving landscapes and water—I wouldn't have guessed this was a Pixar film. The story doesn't measure up to their usual lofty standards, and the characters are not especially engaging; that said, it might have been geared to a slightly younger audience than usual. It was reasonably successful at the box office, earning $300 million against a budget of $200 million (and I'm at a loss as to why it took that much money to recycle Fred Flintstone's pet dinosaur).
