On Golden Pond

This is undoubtedly the most difficult film for me to watch, because the relationship between Jane and Henry Fonda's characters mirrored the relationship between me and my father to an uncomfortable degree. I've only ever seen it once, in the theater, and it was embarrassing—I sobbed while my date sat cringing at the sight of me. Despite having seen it only once, it nevertheless resides in my top picks.
