Everything Everywhere All At Once

2022, IAC Films et al

Prepare for a mind-f*ck to end all mind-f*cks. Although the whole multiuniverse craze has been getting overworked lately, the filmmaker duo billed as The Daniels have concocted an amusing, highly imaginative exception. The incomparable Michelle Yeoh gets to flex every acting muscle she has—and she has a great many of them indeed—playing a non-stereotypical anti-hero who gets recruited into a universe-hopping troupe attempting to defuse a Big Bomb before it goes Boom. You must pay close attention to everything that happens, otherwise you'll be more lost than our anti-hero, and believe me, it's well worth the effort to hang in there. You especially won't want to miss an unrecognizable Jamie Lee Curtis in a knockout role. I'll also add that the blending of East and West is exceptionally well done.
