Coma

Billed as a horror film, Coma is really more of a sci-fi thriller. Populated by a parade of A-listers, including Geneviève Bujold*, Michael Douglas, Richard Widmark and Rip Torn, it's taut and well-constructed. Directed by Michael Crichton (The Andromeda Strain, Jurassic Park). Also look for Tom Selleck and Ed Harris in bit parts.
*Notable for having played Captain Janeway in Star Trek: Voyager for two days before bailing.
