The City of Lost Children
A pan-European production (Spain, France and Germany), this singularly quirky fantasy could well be characterized as prototypically steampunk. Ron Perlman heads a large mostly French ensemble cast in a stream of consciousness trip that effortlessly transitions from one curious non-sequitur to the next, maintaining one's interest with startling, unexpected visuals. Those with adventurous appetites for unusual cinematic experiences will likely appreciate it. DKS 12/17/17 FART-O-METER® Rating:
