A Cat in Paris

Thankfully, hand-drawn cel animation has not died under the crushing onslaught and popularity of CGI. For aficionados of this time-honored filmmaking technique, A Cat in Paris will more than satiate. That said, the final imagery did involve a considerable amount of non-traditional photographic trickery—not that this is a bad thing. Also, the particular drawing style was not to my liking. But this has no bearing on the final effect which, supported by a wonderful music score, was thoroughly enjoyable. Most significantly, the film's story was engaging and well developed; in fact, there were moments during some of the action scenes when I literally held my breath. Bravo!
Incidentally, the film's original title translates as A Cat's Life.
