Jodorowsky's Dune

2013, City Film et al

The production of Dune was a long, torturous affair, and the most intriguing aspect is the film that might have been had French director Alejandro Jodorowsky succeeded. While it departed significantly from Frank Herbert's novel, it evidently had Herbert's blessing. The result, had it been produced, should have been a seriously trippy light show. Some of the highlights (for sci-fi junkies like me) include interviews with such legends as H.R. Giger and Chris Foss.
