4882: Gondolas
Prototype Information
There have been hundreds of gondola
car designs, yet curiously the 42-foot all-steel flat-bottom type wasn't as prevalent as others, so it was a bit of a challenge to find
the prototype for Roco's model. It would be even harder to determine which
railroads used them, so I leave that up to more ambitious modelers. These models are still being released today from other manufacturers,
such as Atlas.
