All About Aurora Postage Stamp Trains |
Prototype InformationWhen technology eliminated the need for car frames, enormous 33,000-gallon "jumbo" (a.k.a. "whale belly") tankers were possible; this one was introduced in the early 1960s. As was the case with their center flow hopper, Roco's model suffers from grossly thick ladders and handrails, which significantly alters the look of the car; plus it has, per usual, the wrong trucks—really wrong, as they should be 100-ton roller bearing, not ancient 70-ton solid-journal trucks.
