All About Aurora Postage Stamp Trains
1968/69 Donkey Freight Sets

Catalog Numbers

In contrast to their earlier counterparts, these sets were not offered with a choice of road name, and had no flat car. Presumably the caboose was chosen at random from the road name pool, which includes some roads in addition to the original "standard four" of Union Pacific, Santa Fe, Pennsylvania and Baltimore & Ohio.

Oddball Packaging

This curious outlier has no cover sheet on the right tray. Also note that the gondola was substituted with a flat car, using a foam wedge to make up the space. Given the set is still sealed in cellophane, this would seem to be a genuine product.
