All About Aurora Postage Stamp Trains |
This custom-built layout was created to do tours of the International Toy Fair in New York in 1967 and 1968, and possibly other shows and years. It features three independent lines: two crisscrossing outer loops (which seems like a recipe for accidents), and an inner point-to-point line that shuttled a train back and forth. There's evidence it had been modified over time. If it seems vaguely familiar, have a look at Aurora's comic book ad. Aurora's other demo layout was a simple bus set. It had been modified at some point to be more elaborate; its original configuration made an appearance on the American Train Club Order Sheet. With thanks to Bob Williams, who owns both layouts.
