What the heck
is going on here? What's all this about? Allow me to introduce myself: I'm David K. Smith, a grumpy, retired 60-something
web developer-photographer-videographer-author-modeler-home builder-amateur musician-etcetera. I have a few followers who
know the drill. If you're a newcomer, however, I understand the deer-in-the-headlights feeling. So, let's start from the top:

Although I'm an intensely private person, I share facets of my life freely online because one of my hobbies is web authoring.
I also find it helpful to write about my experiences, and visitors get to enjoy the fruits of my labors, such as they are. So, if
