This Japanese company produces an extensive line of model railroad detailing accessories. Kobaru products vary significantly in quality, from finely-detailed etched metal items to crudely-made figure sets that offer

interesting glimpses of Japanese culture, although at times uncomfortably sexist.

The Figures

These painted cast metal figure sets are sold in folded clear plastic boxes under the name "Meister Series" (Master Series). Made in Japan. Given their similarity, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Icom made these for Kobaru.
