Founded in 1946, Faller is a venerable German manufacturer of model structures, commercial buildings, bridges, figures, amusement rides, and
scenery-making supplies in all popular scales. Their extensive product line includes many figures.

The Figures
Faller's N Scale figures are mostly Merten, plus a few Preiser (which is not
surprising, since Preiser now owns Merten). Many Faller sets combine figures drawn from as many as five different original Merten sets in a loopy
mix-and-match free-for-all, at times mixing figures with and without bases. Also, Faller's choice of set contents is bewildering to say the
least; several sets are duplicates except that one figure may be different.
Faller's sets are packed in clear plastic boxes with vacu-formed clear plastic nests and paper inserts. The boxes come in two slightly different sizes;
the smaller ones appear to be the more recent.
The list probably has many errors. Among other things, it's a challenge determining which items may have been discontinued. As of June 2017, items marked OOP? are
AWOL from Faller's website,
but this is not to say they've been officially axed. Source numbers are all Merten unless otherwise indicated; I'm still in the process of cross-referencing them. Photos are
