Roebling

The Roebling plant in Trenton, NJ, is an enormous industry that supplied the country with such things as steel cable for suspension bridges. The facility once spread across 80 acres, its tendrils integrating into neighborhoods, mostly in the Chambersburg section. Some of the buildings have been refurbished and turned into apartments and shopping centers; some have been razed; the rest remain, slowly rotting.

A local refers to the rotating vents atop this building as the "Four Sisters" owing to their vague resemblance to nuns in habits, their heads occasionally turning in unison to cast their gaze upon the residents.
