Every so often I take a tour through my website online and try to imagine myself a visitor arriving for the first time. I do this to look for things like navigation issues, typos, technical glitches and so forth. I had originally planned to publish projects when they were completed, but this gives a false impression of how much work is really going on. So, I've begun uploading work-in-progress articles.

Although I would have hand-laid the visible track on the James River Branch if I had to do it over, the Micro-Trains flex will suffice for now. But I've been increasingly interested in trying handlaid Code 25 Z scale track. Like the layout, this will be a work in progress, since I've only laid less than half the track so far, and have not yet started on the turnout. But I'm not venturing into unknown territory, either; I've already handlaid Code 25 N scale turnouts. Never heard of Code 25 rail? Not surprising, since I originally custom-ordered it from a wire manufacturer—follow the link for more details.

The White River & Northern site (the James River Branch's "daddy," if you will) now has an animation videos page that presents some of the many animation projects I've made over the years in N scale. Provides a glimpse into some of the things I may attempt in Z for the JRB.
