Some Philosophical Observations on Modeling
At one time I ran multiple blogs where I spouted off all manner of modeling philosophy, mostly in kneejerk reaction to things that were happening at the time. Because I bucked a number of popular trends (such as DCC), I caught a lot of flack from other modelers. But that's really to be expected, since modeling is a personal thing, almost like religion.
In order to create some context for the modeling (I hope someday) to come, I'm dusting off some old rants, and creating a number of new ones. Having been a modeler for over half a century now, I think I've earned the right to stand firm on what I do or don't do, even if it continues to buck current trends. Hell, I don't watch Game of Thrones—never have and and never will—which should set the tone...
