That's a Great Show!
Following the idea behind Route 541 Along the River, I designed another Nano with lighting. This one features the most complex construction of the bunch, specifically an elevated line running the length of the enclosure. The steel viaduct crosses tracks at one end and stands beside a lighted billboard at one other. The billboard advertises one of my animated series, Lightspeed Drifting, just for giggles.
Finishing it took almost two years because I'd misplaced the little guy, and thought it was lost. When I came across it recently, I went straight to work on it. All it needed was the billboard and lights.
The billboard itself is just a self-adhesive return address label with the show logo laser-printed on and applied to a scrap of thin styrene. I attached four bright white 0201 SMD LEDs to the bottom edge of the billboard, bundled the wires together on the back of the billboard, and threaded the wire bundle though a hole in the base, later hidden behind a bush. All of the wiring connections run along the base to a power supply cannibalized from some super-cheap mini string lights, with the power supply doubling a base so that it sits properly on its side.
