Any Bats In There?
I returned to simpler ways for the ones following the illuminated highway, as I wasn't ready for any surprises again just yet. I'd planned to do a tunnel scene at some point from early on, so no time like the present. And indeed there were no surprises with this simple scene: eight tiny hand-carved bits of styrene made the tunnel portal, with paint and vegetation filling in the rest of the scene. I used black masking tape to wrap the parts having no surface scenery—that is, the cutaway portions of the hillside behind the portal. Also, I am happy to report there are no bats in there.
