That Stream Just North of Town
I saw no need to wait until some magic moment when I'd be "ready" to build a bridge. I was born ready! It was just a matter of shaping eight tiny bits of sheet styrene to form a stone arch bridge. Then I made the stream: a piece of sheet styrene glued to the bottle cork, colored black with a Sharpie, and covered with clear packing tape.
Next, I applied a glob of sanded pre-mixed grout, and shaped it into the terrain. This was by far the most time-consuming step, and once it was done, it was quickly followed by various flecks of paint and bits of recycled scenery material.
The scene was inspired by a real life location just north of Lakewood, New Jersey.
