Fort Hanover: Stone Bridges

Postage Stamp kit: 4185 Straight Viaduct

The straight viaduct kit was used to create two small stone arch bridges across the stream. Mostly it involved chopping away at the parts until they fit. I also omitted the deck because the existing benchwork supported the track, and most bridges like this in the U.S. didn't have elaborate structures along the sides (scroll down for a reference image). I did cheat just a little by adding hand-carved cap stones along the edges.

The reference image was captured just north of Lakewood, NJ.
