As seen on this layout, the water tower includes a water crane, which actually comes from a different kit. The water tower was finished on 25 February 2021...
...and installed on 26 February 2021.
Arnold 0631 — A DKS Retro Fave
I couldn't leave out this favorite, as it was one of the very first kits I assembled back when I was about thirteen, prior to building the original Newport & Rock Falls. It's great for kitbashing: the tank can be used for many different urban industrial applications, and the pump house makes an ideal lineside electrical shed, as seen on the Penn Central Stockton Branch.
Faller 2150 — Water Tower
I used the water crane from the Faller water tower kit. The water tower had been planned to accompany the factory, but I decided to drop it for several reasons, the most notable being that I'm not at all fond of it. I kept the water crane, however, because the Arnold water tower kit lacks one. Arnold sold one separately, 0630, but it's very rare and costs a fortune if you can find one.
The water crane was finished and installed on 28 February 2021.
